Here at WF Education, we can deliver a new space for almost any environment. If you have a space for us to work with, our design team can work with you to transform it. It may be a space that you haven’t yet considered or a space that doesn’t have a clear purpose.

We primarily fit out libraries, learning spaces, design and technology spaces, sports and activity studios, fitness suites and science laboratories. The following are excellent examples of the types of other spaces we can work with, but the list is by no means exhaustive, so any ideas, please, let us know and we will work with you to discover what’s possible.

Corridors: the majority of buildings will have many corridors, often forgotten and left as unused space, they can work nicely to accommodate smaller areas for learning, storage, display, seating and a range of activities.

Dining rooms, lounges, and common rooms: just because a room has an original purpose, doesn’t mean it can’t be utilised for alternative functions such as study or meeting areas, book storage, activity space, or individual or group learning zones. Whether a complete room transformation or zoned areas, any of these rooms can offer multiple options for various activities. Why not turn your dining room into an afterschool or afternoon STEM club or a reading club? With mobile furniture, that can be easily stored and manoeuvred, your options are endless.

Reception areas: often only used for display and waiting areas, reception areas can make a fantastic space for students, visitors, and teachers alike. Utilising this space can give you and your students extra breakout zones to enjoy a realm of activities.

Our design service can take the specification of any space and demonstrate the options. Check out the Everna and Claria ranges and/or contact us to help you find out what’s possible!

Ordering

We accept payment via BACS, most major credit cards, and cheque. Credit accounts are available to most education establishments and local authorities, and this will be discussed at the point of initial contact and planning. Each customer account request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

There is no minimum value to a WF Education Spaces project, and our team will support you, no matter what the project size.

This is dependent on the terms of sale, services and products installed. We will discuss this with you at the beginning of the process and any additional charges will be clearly presented on your quotation where applicable.

Managing my project and service

WF Education has a dedicated in-house Design Team, with decades of experience working with customers, architects and contractors to deliver space planning and fit-out services. We can use your existing designs and layouts or alternatively we offer a full turnkey service and can work with you to design your new space installation for you.

Where appropriate, we offer customers 3D CAD layouts and renders to visualise spaces and options.

This will depend on the initial conversations, and scope of your project but we offer a design consultation service to customers if this is a requirement. Specific consultation services are quoted on a project by project basis, on request.

Transparency is key to any size project running smoothly and we understand that hidden costs are unwanted and unnecessary. Consultation fees will depend on the size and scope of your project. After initial conversations with our spaces team and a review of the level of consultancy required, we will discuss any charges with you.

Each of our customers will have a dedicated Project Manager who will take care of you throughout the lifetime of your project. Project Managers are supported by the wider Projects department and our Customer Support team.

Your project is managed start to finish from our head office in Shrewsbury. Project milestones and interdependent deadlines are managed by us to take the pressure off you. Your satisfaction and a quality installation are paramount. We understand the complexity of any project and will ensure site surveys, risk assessments, method statements and environmental surveys are completed to ensure your installation is delivered to the highest standard.

We will regularly update you on progress by phone and email and if appropriate, in person on site.

This is dependent on the scale of your project and other factors such as school holidays, manufacturers, suppliers and our installation schedule. Many installations will be completed within 6-12 weeks from confirmation of order; however, we can often deliver much sooner for smaller-scale projects. Again, this will all be discussed with you at the beginning of your journey with WF Education and in every instance, we will work with you to agree on a workable schedule

We understand the specialised requirements for teaching theoretical science, demonstrating the theory, and conducting class practicals as well as health and safety considerations. Our designers plan for interconnection between the practical and theoretical aspects of teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Spaces should inspire – a visually striking lab space does play an important role in engaging students. This holistic approach also helps toward versatility in lab designs, particularly helpful since technology is moving faster than the laboratories are being renovated.
