BMS 1001 RMS Polarizing Microscope

The RMS has worked hard to create a list of specifications that we feel are necessary for a microscope to be relevant and appropriate for secondary schools. These include a particular range of (total, linear) magnifications (40x – 200x), three imaging techniques; bright field, dark field, polarised light and the option to use mains power or battery power, allowing the microscope to be portable when necessary. This BMS microscope has been developed to meet this criteria and is the only one recommended by the RMS as part of their Schools Microscope Fund.
The microscope's stability is optimised by the robust construction of both stand and base.
The transmitted light illumination of the BMS 1001RMS is via LED with dimmer (for continuous variation of light intensity).
All objectives are DIN achromatic Semi Plan. With the 10x wide field eyepiece you get a total magnification range of 40x - 200x (optional 400x, 600x and/or 1000x).
The optical components provide sharp, clear and true-colour images with high-contrast. The microscope has a 360º rotating head with monocular eyepiece and standard coarse and fine focusing drive.
